We are not responsible for the content of external sites, however.<\/p>\n<h1>Language learning resources<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/growingparticipatorapproach.wordpress.com\/resources\/\">Growing Participator Approach<\/a> \u2014 this is the approach that LCP typical uses in its lessons;\u00a0Greg and Angela Thomson have made an incredible wealth of material available online<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/tinyurl.com\/growingparticipation\">Growing Participator Dropbox<\/a> \u2014 these are core resources for implementing the GPA in your language learning.\u00a0Find the resource you need rather than downloading the whole folder. There are guides for each phase, overviews of the approach, and lots of other resources<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>Dari-specific resources<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/TOLOTV\" target=\"_blank\">Tolo Television YouTube Channel<\/a> \u2014 including freely-available,\u00a0episodes and series<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>Farsi resources<\/h1>\n<p>Although there are differences between\u00a0Iranian Farsi and Afghan Dari, the differences matter less for more formal topics.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/persian\" target=\"_blank\">BBC\u00a0Persian<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 news and current events in Iranian Persian; this<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.com\/persian\/indepth\/persian_radio\" target=\"_blank\">BBC Persian Radio<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 news and current events in audio format<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/fa.wikipedia.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Persian Wikipedia<\/a> \u2014 an alternative to using this web page is to visit Wikipedia in your native language,\u00a0find an article of interest, and then look for a link to \u0641\u0627\u0631\u0633\u06cc (sorted under \u201cF\u201d) on the left.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.livelingua.com\/fsi-persian-course.php\">FSI Persian Farsi Course<\/a> \u2014 this resource comes heavily qualified, as it is both in Farsi, and uses a pedagogical approach similar to Glassman. Nevertheless, if you&#8217;d like some exposure to Iranian Farsi (which\u00a0is closer to the\u00a0Dari in western Afghanistan), this is quite a resource. There are audio files to accompany it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Grammar resources<\/h2>\n<p>These grammar resources are Farsi-oriented.\u00a0Some items may be less relevant to spoken Dari; they will, however, be applicable for more formal varieties of Dari. While it is a good idea to make use of\u00a0the grammatical materials developed by LCP for Dari specifically, if you&#8217;re struggling with a point of grammar, it may help to see it explained differently.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/sites.la.utexas.edu\/persian_online_resources\/\" target=\"_blank\">Persian Online<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/persian.sdsu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Persian Grammar Guide<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>Cultural Resources<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iranicaonline.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Encyclop\u00e6dia Iranica<\/a> \u2014 an invaluable collection of articles relating to Iranian language, culture, and history; \u201cIranian\u201d is broadly conceived, including information about Pashtuns and some other groups<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/lifelearner.org\/culture\/\" target=\"_blank\">Exploring Culture<\/a> \u2014 this site provides a set of questions and learning activities to help you learn about culture; the inventory is not specific to Afghanistan, but addresses general cultural topics<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/tanzil.net\/\">The Qur&#8217;an<\/a> \u2014 this site\u00a0has a nice interface, and you can also select various English and Persian translations<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/sunnah.com\/\">The Hadith<\/a> \u2014 a nicely laid out collection of\u00a0hadith (traditions about the Prophet) in\u00a0English translation (as well as the original Arabic)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/ganjoor.net\/\">Ganjoor.net<\/a> \u2014 a comprehensive resource for classical\u00a0Persian poetry.
