We believe that one of the keys to providing eye care to remote regions is the establishment of sustainable facilities that are not dependent on long term outside funding.

IAM NOOR has been successful in establishing community eye hospitals in the provinces of Khost and Ghazni. These facilities are able to provide affordable and quality eye care not only to the immediate areas but to do outreach to more remote locations. These hospitals are supported logistically by NOOR but are financially independent and self-sustaining within a few years of becoming operational.

NOOR intends to continue to build on these successful models by starting new community eye hospitals in other rural parts of the country.
