"I was doing tailoring and embroidery at home for my friends and neighbours. I had many skills but I couldn't earn enough money to solve my own and my family's problems. The business lessons are very useful My teacher always tries to help us learn more about business and sometimes she takes us to the market to introduce us to the shopkeepers. Now I can help both myself and my family.”

"I am a student of literacy and business course. I learnt reading and writing from this course. Before I came to this course I did embroidery for my friends and neighbours. Then I learnt about business in the course and I got a contract with some shopkeepers. Now I have three workers doing work for me and I pay them wages for their work. I am very happy with my teacher that she introduces me to the shopkeepers and showed me the bazaar."

"Before I attend the course I could do nothing and I couldn't read or write. Then I attended this course and I realised that I can do something. After a time I became able to read and write. I am able to crochet and now I have a contract with a shopkeeper to make a crocheted edging on shawls. For each shawl I earn 150 – 200 Afs."
