IAM has chosen to have its international headquarters in Kabul. We feel it is vital to our projects to have leadership and support ‘on the ground’ and not in a distant country. Through HQ and the other departments we co-ordinate activities, oversee the security situation and deal with the various practicalities which are necessary to smooth running of an organization of this size.
Our core structures exist to support the projects in their service to local individuals and communities. All international staff speak a local language (Dari or Pashto).
